Love Thy Macros, They shall serve you well

Greetings to all, I know many people question how macros can be useful to anyone in the game.
http://www.wowwiki.com/Macros
Is a great place to start your lessons on macros, there are many advantages to having a macro in your game play, Many Macros will need to clicked more than once because they share the same global cool down but there are some macros which can be clicked only one can the spells shall come out in one at a time. An example of a macro that can be useful for hunters is
/cast Hunter's Mark
/petattack
It is a very simple macro to set up and can be used very often. Another that is useful for Tanking Warriors is

/script CancelPlayerBuff("Blessing of Salvation")
/cast Charge
/stopcasting
/cast Defensive Stance
/stopcasting
/cast Bloodrage

While it does look a little more complicated it is simple, and you can take of the cancelplayerbuff it will take the warrior into battle, make sure you get into defensive stance, and generate a little extra threat and rage as you start the fight.
While it is not nessicary that you have any of these macros it can and will make your life a little easier at times, Take a few moments take a look around the site and see what can help you make some macros to help you.
Take care, Hopefully you shall see me around the blog some more

Easy Leveling

Our guild places a bit more emphasis on professions than others. But it can be time consuming. Take cooking, for instance; figuring out what to cook next and where to get the recipe and ingredients takes away from quests and battlegrounds. This goes for main professions as well like leatherworking; what should you make to level this profession as quickly as possible with the least expensive or most available components?

Here’s a very helpful web site…WoW-Professions.com. Not the only one of its kind, of course, but I’ve found it useful for quickly moving up through my professions. I've also added the link to the sidebar on the right.

Do you have a favorite helpful web site? Let us know! We’ll post about them here.

Lazy days of Summer

…sort of…

I’ve been asked why there seems to be less activity than before. It’s true…and I’m not sure it’s a bad thing. Knowing our guildmates I expected to see a drop-off in game activity by many this time of year. People have told me how they’re going on vacations, teaching classes, taking classes, moving, spending lots of time outside (like I am), involved with sports...one of us will be going to Germany for all of August! We have a guild filled with people not only active in WoW but active in real life.

So have lots of summer fun and we hope to see more of you in the fall!

Vault news

The guild vault has been updated and revamped!

Tab 1 will contain all items for player levels 1-20.

Tab 2 will be sort of a ‘Wield and Wear’ tab for levels 21 and above. Armor (including rings and such), weapons and potions will mostly be here. Some potions, too.

Tab 3 will be for professions stuff…regents, materials, recipes…things you need to up your cooking, alchemy, jewelcrafting, etc. Some created items and potions will be here as well.

Because tab access can only be set by ranks, not levels, tabs 2 and 3 will be available to Envoys and above. And, because the contents are separated by level, we’re making level 21 as an additional condition of being promoted Envoy. This allows new members access without worrying that they’ll snatch really good stuff and run with it (as has happened in the past…).

This is still open to discussion and change. Let’s see how this set-up works.
