...about the vault...

Like many things lately, this is overdue! We have two vault tabs, soon to be three (according to the rumors!), and we needed a Vault Officer. Happily, Pooba agreed to serve! Thanks, big sis! She'll be in charge of arranging/managing the vault.

Yes there are vault ‘rules’ (I prefer the Pirates term ‘guidelines') that resulted from some discussions among the officers:

1 - The vault is for thy use. Freely partake of its contents.

Don’t be shy! This is especially true of ‘Bank Holidays’ where withdrawal limits are lifted and/or other rules relaxed a bit.

2 - Thy rank determines thy privileges.

Like most guilds, the higher ranks have more ‘stacks per day’ that they can take.

3 – Thou shalt deposit weapons and armor of green or greater rarity.

Grey items are called ‘vendor trash’ for a reason…they’re not really good for anything except selling to vendors for a little cash. No grey items are used in any professions, and there’s much better stuff around so they’re kind of a waste of space...

White items are ok if they’re potions, bags, used in recipes, etc. This guild has lots of talented ‘makers of stuff’ so feel free to put a couple of your created ‘white’ items in the vault. Be aware, however, that when the vault gets full and needs a cleaning, the white stuff will be taken and sold first, with the proceeds going back to the vault.

4 – What thou takest thou must equip.

…or use to level upwards in one of your professions. Again, this rule might be relaxed during ‘Bank Holidays.’

5 – If thou takest an item for the vault and selleth it in the Auction House thou shalt surely die.

Ok. Maybe not. But your guildmates will not be very happy with you. And you’ll be in quite hot water with the guildmaster and Vault Officer (that’s me and Pooba, respectively).

6 – If thou needest more than thy daily allowance, speaketh with thy guild officer.

…nuf said…

7 – The Vault Officer hath the authority to ‘clean the vault.’

This is the one case where selling stuff at auction is always allowed…and only the Vault Officer, or whoever she designates, or the Guild Master are allowed to do it. The proceeds will go back into the vault. Stuff may also be sent out to folks in the guild who might be able to use them, or sell them, if they wish.

Vault problems

As most of you know, we've been having vault withdrawal problems; the 'stack permissions' aren't being reset each day as they're supposed to be. So if you are allowed 2 stacks from a tab per day and you take out two stacks, the game won't allow to take out any more stacks from that tab the next day...or the next...or the next....

I started a ticket and Blizzard support responded. It wasn't very helpful though...others also have this same problem and we're just supposed to watch the forums or other patch note pages or whatever to see if they fix the problem.

Anyway, if there's something in the vault you need and can't get please ask me or an officer and we'll make sure you get it. I hope this problem doesn't last too long...

Guild Rankings - Bumped

We have lots of new members to the guild within the last couple weeks. Welcome! So we need to 'bump' the post about the ranks back to the top. Here they are...

Initiate ranks:

Harbinger – This will be the introductory rank. It can use guild chat, and has minimal vault privileges.

Peacekeeper – It shouldn’t take long to reach this next level. It will allow 2 vault ‘stack’ withdraw per day.

Member ranks: promotion to and through these next ranks is more subjective, but there will be one ‘objective’ goal to be considered for each rank; the total skill points in the two main professions. All regular member ranks can recruit, and vault privileges increase by 1 stack per rank.

Envoy – This begins the regular ranks. Profession skill points must be 150 or more.

Anchorite – Here’s where promotion becomes more subjective. While a profession skill total of 300 is required, the Guild Master/Officers will also be looking for activity, helpfulness, and dedication to the membership of the guild.

Artificer – Skill totals must be 500 or more. This is the highest non-officer rank.

Officer Ranks: All officers can set the Message of the Day and promote members to higher ranks.

Vindicator – There may be as many as 3 or 4 of these.

Executor – Executive level, Guild leader, second in command. This will be Strago. Should we become large enough, a second may be chosen It’s best to have someone beside the Guild Master with all control capabilities.

Guild Master – Yours truly. There can only be one. This will be the only level with removal ability.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask!
