Picture Day!

Today the Draenei Covenant met up in the Exodar to get a few group screenshots together. It was the first time we have met up as a guild since the ten man deadmines run.

Krigarre and I would like to thank Akala, Draenturm, Dreampal, Lilith, and Talyra for coming to the event(and putting up with my slow screenshot taking ;) ).

Sorry to everyone who couldn't make it there, hopefully you'll be able to join us next time we have a guild event.

One Troublesome Patch.

I don't know about you, but after the patch went 'live' today *I* can't even log in! Earlier I was at least able to get into my account, even though none of my realms were available. I can't even get the realm status or forums at the official WoW site, or sometimes the main page! This patch is so messed up so far I wonder what surprises I'll find with my characters when I finally get to visit them again. Maybe I'll have a mustache or something.

Think we'll be able to get on tomorrow?

Getting Geared!

...or ‘twinked’ as the case may be. Meaning having the best stuff you can get for your level. This has the most impact in battlegrounds, where it seems that most hordies are twinked while Alliance types are not.

The first step is starting early. If you want to be twinked out for level 19 BGs, start gathering your stuff at level 15. This will mean tapping one your friendly higher-level guildmates to walk you through a few instances. You will be gaining experience and you want a nice XP cushion in case you don’t get the drop you want in the first go-around. My rogue, Serata, learned this the hard way. She ALMOST made it to the end of Deadmines for VanCLeef’s head (thanks, Dertus!) when the WoW server went down! So she had to do it again (thanks, Talyra!), but she got so many XPs on the two runs that handing in VanCeef’s head to get the Tunic of Westfall she desperately wants will put her at level 20. Erg!

Second, what should stuff should you get? There are good twinking guides out there. Here are three:
Do some research, planning, and ask for help! It will be worth it in the long run!
