Got Glyphs?

If you’re confused about Glyphs (which are created through the new profession, Inscription), you're not alone. To start with, think of them as enchantments for your spells and abilities instead of your weapons and armor. They can be bought at the Auction House, traded between characters or pulled from the vault.

A good starting guide is here. Once you obtain a ‘glyph’ that you want, you have to go place it in your spell book (notice it now has two tabs at the bottom when you open it). To do this you’ll need to stand next to a ‘Lexicon of Power’ which is usually next to an inscription trainer (see the link above for locations).

So what can glyphs do and which ones should you get? Well that page linked above has further links to lists for each class. You’ll notice that glyphs are in two groups, major and minor. An ‘inscriber’ can learn any major glyph from a trainer, but minor ones are ‘researched’ and those results are somewhat random. If you see a glyph you want, contact one of your guildmates who are now inscribers (note: The Armory servers are down right now, but Manapausal and Dertus in The Draenei Covenant and Serata in Knights of the Covenant are all inscribers. I’ll get a more complete list when the servers are back up).
